Background:

– Dropper (Not for competitive exams, dropper due to personal reasons)
– 12th 66% (Although i was a student who was abled to score 85-90% easily, but scored less in 12th due to personal reasons)
– JEE (Mains) Prep (Prepared for it in 12th for 3-4 months rigoursly but didn’t gaved JEE (Main) exam due to personal reasons)
– After Drop, again started JEE (Main) prep for personal reasons

Preparation(part 1):
– Started prep at 26th January (Exam was at 13th April)
– Made some startegy and followed it as much as possible, i was touching my books after 9 months. I forgot even names of many chapters.
– Focused heavily on chemistry, studied almost whole syllabus.

Preparation(part 2):
– Learnt each and every reaction of organic chemistry with mechanism, grasped 85% of inorganic chemistry (trends, exceptions, uses, reaction, products and what not), tried to grasp physical chemistry as well but was not that well prepared in it.
– In Mathematics, prepared only Sets, Relation, Mathematical reasoning, Matrices and Determinants.
– In Physics, tried to grasp everything but was not able to do that as exam stress, “Hoga nhi, hoga thought” etc.
– Didn’t gived any mock, but solved PYQ’s of chemistry mostly.

Exam Day:
Didn’t slept a single hour since last 2 days as i was preparing, felt sleepy at exam day but i knewed now i won’t sleep as at that day was my exam. It was in morning shift at a centre located in outskirts of Delhi, somehow reached there despite poor connectivity of that area. After checking and completing all the formalities, i set on my chair. Sawed other students around me, all were looking physically well except me, i was looking too skinny and drowsy. Exam started, i started with chemistry, then maths then physics. 1.5hrs passed, and i solved all the questions in which i was 100% confident. I shocked to see only 4Q were asked from Organic Chemistry, and in other shifts 7-8Q were asked. Then i attempted all those questions in which i elemeneted 2 options but not sure of exact option. Solved solved solved as much as possible. Exam ended. My exam didn’t went well, i was somewhat disappointed. Anyways, i came back to home, completed my sleep deficiency.

What after exam?
Expected rank in range 70k-1L, but got AIR 2.62L, scored miserable but still scored good in chemistry 91.2%ile.. and chemistry was the subject through which i got this rank. Now, currently I’m in AKTU with a CSE branch. When my exam got over, i started learning DevOps, Machine learning and DSA. Now I’m on my journey, hustling and making myself better and better and will edit it after 1, 2, 3, 4 years.

Takeaways for aspirants:
– No matter, how many days are left for your exam. No matter, how ruined your preparation is, don’t get distracted, don’t loose your hope, don’t think will i get this college or that college, don’t think this college X branch or that college Y branch, don’t think i have only X days or Y Months left. Only Only and Only focus on your studies, and study as much as you can. Study like tomorrow is your exam. Don’t study a little-little of every chapter, it may satisfy you but at exam day you will realise it doesn’t help much.
