JEE Main 2024: The JEE Main exam city intimation slip for session 1 has been released by NTA, on 12th Jan 2024. The JEE Mains City intimation slip for 2024 will be made available today to those pursuing BTechs. Registered candidates can download the JEE Main 2024 exam city intimation slip by entering their NTA JEE Main login credentials. However, the JEE Mains 2024 admit card should be available online at jeemain.nta.ac.in by the relevant authorities by January 20. The JEE Main exam 2024 January session will be administered by the National Testing Agency from January 24 to February 1. The second session of JEE Main will take place from April 1 to April 15. In order to prepare for the exam, candidates must adhere to the JEE Main syllabus 2024.

IIT JEE Main Eligibility Criteria

As per the JEE Main 2024 eligibility criteria, the candidates have to fulfill all the basic criteria. These criteria ensures that only eligible candidates are called to appear and attempt the JEE examination:

Admission Criteria for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs
For B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Plan admissions – Minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST category candidates) or should fall under the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.
For B.Arch admission in institutes other than IIITs, NITs, and CFTIs – 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main Paper 2 and 3

  1. Total Attempts:
    • Candidates are allowed to appear for JEE Main for three consecutive years.
  2. Educational Qualifications:
    • The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry individually.
    • Additionally, a candidate must have obtained an aggregate of at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
  3. Subject Specifics:
    • Mathematics is compulsory for candidates applying for B.Arch./B.Planning courses.

JEE Main Reservation Criteria

When offering admissions through JEE Main, the exam authority complies with to the reservation guidelines established by the Indian government. In accordance with the categorical reservation policy, all India ranks will be offered. The following are the categories’ percentage reservations for JEE Main 2024 admissions:

  • OBC – NCL candidates: 27% reservation
  • SC candidates: 15% reservation
  • ST candidates: 7.5% reservation
  • PwD candidates: 5% reservation
  • GEN-EWS candidates: 10% reservation
  • Women candidates: 5% reservation
