Infosys Interview Experience for Junior Java Developer

I applied online for the Infosys Junior Java Developer post. I’m a Java Developer + Azure DevOps Engineer with AZ-900 certification. 

The application was processed very quickly and interviews were scheduled within 2 weeks. 

• First, it was an MST Technical Interview round. The interviewer went through the resume and asked about the project. 
• Then some basic core Java questions and test cases related questions. 
• I passed that interview and next was a Tech – Managerial round. He was a project manager so asked about the entire development process followed in my project right from requirement analysis to product delivery. 
• Tech rounds were easier to crack. After this round, HR reached out for a CTA discussion (it was not a discussion tbh XD). 
• She was a very uncomfortable person to talk to, whereas the first 2 interviewers were very polite and professional. 
• When I attended the call, straightaway she said there will be NO negotiation/discussion, they will say a package, and if I’m interested I have to tell her NOW. 
• Didn’t even give time to think about it.
• It was an insultingly low package for a 2+ year experienced Java Developer + Azure DevOps Engineer. 
• She was not even ready to hear me out. So I respectfully rejected the offer though I was looking forward to joining Infosys.
