Greetings to all! I had a past interview experience with Infosys and I’m thrilled to share my experience with you. Infosys came to our campus for their Prestigious Graduate Program 2022 recruitment drive. The selection process consisted of two stages. Here’s the breakdown.

Stage 1 (E-Assessment):
Our electronic assessment was slated for October 5th, 2022, and lasted for 128 minutes.

It encompassed four segments: Numerical Aptitude, Abstract Reasoning, Programming (Python, Java, C, C++), and Compositional Writing (100-200 words). The programming queries were of a moderate level. We needed to successfully pass a minimum of 2 test cases for both queries to advance in the e-assessment.

Stage 2 (Technical + HR Converse):
The results of the electronic assessment were disclosed on October 10, 2022. I was fortunate to move forward. Following this, my interview was slated for October 20, 2022. In my instance, the technical and HR interviews were merged. However, some of my peers had distinct sessions for technical and HR evaluations. It was straightforward and concluded in roughly 15 minutes.

Below are the queries I encountered:

  1. Could you introduce yourself?
  2. What motivated your interest in Infosys?
  3. You’ve been involved in several cloud endeavors. Which platform was your primary choice?
  4. Can you provide a detailed explanation of the serverless service in AWS?
  5. Could you briefly expound on each project?
  6. Did you implement any Database Management System (DBMS) in your projects? (I utilized MongoDB and conveyed so)
  7. Why did you opt for MongoDB over other options?
  8. Elaborate on Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles extensively.
  9. What are covariant variables?
  10. Delineate the distinction between method overloading and method overriding, providing examples.
  11. Does Java endorse multiple inheritance?
  12. Define Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) commands in SQL. Illuminate with examples.
  13. Is UPDATE considered a DML command?
  14. Clarify the categories of polymorphism.
  15. Would you be open to relocating?
  16. Are you familiar with the possibility of entering into a commitment with our organization post-training? (I responded affirmatively)
  17. Do you feel at ease with signing this commitment?

In conclusion, the interviewer expressed her satisfaction with the interview, and the call was concluded. Therefore, the conversation primarily revolved around my projects, OOP concepts, and DBMS. It’s crucial to thoroughly prepare these areas to enhance your prospects of securing a position at Infosys.

Outcome: CHOSEN!
