IIT Ropar Admission Experience

Hello all, I’m currently pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Ropar. I am presently in 3rd year of my college.

Exams that need to be cleared to get admission at IITs for B.Tech are

1. JEE Mains
2. JEE Advanced

Firstly, you have to pass out the JEE Mains. After clearing it, your percentile of JEE Mains must clear the cutoff for sitting into JEE Advanced exam. Once you earn the JEE Advanced examination, Based on your CRL or category rank, you will get admission into IITs.

Documents that are required during admission are as follows->

1. Class X Marksheet or Date of Birth Proof.
2.  Class XII Marksheet and Pass Certificate.
3. Provisional JoSAA Seat Allotment Letter
4.  JoSAA Registration form.
5. Category Certificate (if applicable).
6. Passport-sized photo.
7. Medical Certificate (if applicable).
8.  Original Payment Receipts.
9. ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, passport to Driver’s license).

I got admission to IIT Ropar in 2021. But due to COVID-19, the admission process went online and the first semester also. After the first semester, College started offline Classes. So, They provided the list of documents that were required during physical reporting. At the same time, a hostel was also allocated.
