(It was a fish market at times. One guy tried to dominate the gd. He was like thumping the table saying ‘Exactly my point’ and pointing to others with his pen saying ‘Example please’. I could pitch in only once with an example. Expected the panel to give me a chance at the end but they chose others who didn’t speak)

Personal Interview: 3 panelists, 1 female and 1 old male, and 1 middle-aged male.

P2: Where is this ceramic college? (Talking about my college)

P2: Ohh previously it was in Jadavpur. (I think he confused it with some other institute.)

P1: Are ceramic products environmentally friendly?

Me: Yes

P1: So they decompose right?

Me: (No idea whatsoever but still agreed) Yes

P1: What is their half-life?

Me: (By now I was sure that he thought I was from ceramic background) Sorry sir no idea.

P1: You did ceramic engineering right?

Me: No sir I am from a computer science background.

P1: What is RTOS?

Me: Told but he didn’t seem satisfied.

P1: Difference between RTOS and normal OS

Me: Told

P1: Parts of OS?

Me: Talked about shell and kernel

P1: How do they interact?

Me: Sorry sir, can’t recall.

L: So you have got a perfect score in maths in class 10. May I ask you a Maths problem?

Me: Yes

L: How many of you were there in gd?

Me: 14

L: If I tell all the members to shake hands with others how many handshakes will take place?

Me: (Took about a minute to answer this) 14×13/2 also explained how I arrived at that.

P2: Why did u take so much time?

P1 to P2: He seems a bit nervous.

P1: Chill man!

P2: So what is that 14×13/2?

Me: 14C2.

L: Are you sure? Isn’t that 14P2?

Me: No mam.

P2: You have written about the BFS sector in your form. Do you know what is NPA?

Me: Told

(A brief discussion on why NPA formed, the role of banks, etc started)

P2: You have talked about payment apps here. Which is your favorite one and why?

(At last, they got into something which I wanted them to)

Me: Phonepe

L: (Smiling) Because it gives cashback right?

Me: No mam others also give.
