The Root is a special process for android smartphones. Rooting any smartphone means that the device is now completely in the user’s control. Every device has some unique features. Every device has some restrictions. Rooting a smartphone will break those restrictions. Now, the smartphone can easily be modernized by the user. For modernizing purposes, the device will not seek permission from any authority. Using the root option, one can easily change the configuration of the devices.

Reason Behind Android Rooting

Rooting the smartphone is a mandatory step for quite all smartphone users. Nowadays, smartphones are coming with large internal storage space. Also, along with that, smartphones are having a large RAM size. But in the older days, when android smartphones were newly available on the market, the memory space was not that big. The internal storage & the RAM had really very small spaces. But the applications that need to be downloaded on the device are quite large enough. So, the users need to root the devices. So that, it will be easy for them to make suggested changes.

Prepare your Android Device for Rooting

Before you begin, make a backup of anything you cannot live without. Prior to flashing a new ROM, you should always back up the one that is currently on your phone. Before you start, you should also make sure that your device is fully charged. Both OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging must be enabled. Open Settings on your device to do this. The instructions below will enable Developer Options if you can’t see them near the bottom of the Settings screen.

Step 1: Go to About Phone and tap Build Number to see it. Your phone will determine the exact route, however it is typically located with other software information.
Step 2: On the main Settings page, tap the Build Number seven times to bring up the Developer Options. To enable this, you might need to verify your security passcode.
Step 3: To view your new developer settings, tap the Back key.
Step 4: Select Developer Options.
Step 5: Verify that USB Debugging is enabled.
Step 6: Make sure OEM Unlocking is enabled.

Installing Device Drivers

You must install the necessary USB driver for your computer in order for it to interface with your tablet or smartphone effectively. Some manufacturers ship their devices with the drivers already installed, so all you have to do to install the correct USB driver for your device is connect it to your PC via a USB cable. A good example of this is the OnePlus, although it’s important to connect your phone first to test if USB drivers will be installed automatically.

Method To Root Android Smartphone

Step 1: First, we need to open the browser from the smartphones. Then we need to install one special application. This is known as the IRoot application. This application is not available in the Google Play Store. So, You have to download it from the link given below.

We have to click there & install the application. We have to click on the Download button to start downloading.

Step 2: Now, after downloading, we have to open the application. It will then be redirected to the installation window. There we need to click on the Installation button. This will start installing.

Step 3: We have to wait a few seconds to install the application.

Step 4: Now, after successfully installing the IRoot application, we have to open the application. For that purpose, we need to click on the Open button. It will open the application.


Step 5: Now, after opening the application. We will find a button there. We have to click on it. Furthermore, we have to click on I Agree to move forward. This is a mandatory step.

Step 6: Now, after opening the application, we will see the message that “No Root Permission”. So, to grant the root permission, we need to click on “Get Root Access”. This will start the Root of smartphones.


Step 7: It will take some time to complete the root process. After completing the process, the application will automatically turn off. So, we don’t need to worry about it.


Step 8: Now, We have to open the Google Play Store. There we have to search for the Root Checker application. This application will help to check whether the root is already resent in the device or not. After installing the application, we need to click on Open to start the application.


Step 9: Now, after opening the application, in the first option, it will ask for verifying the root. So, we have to click on the option Verify Root. This will help to find out whether the root is successfully completed or not.


Step 10: If the root is performed in a particular manner, it will show a Congratulation message. This means we have rooted the smartphone.


Hence, we have successfully rooted the particular smartphone.

Note: Doing root to any smartphone can damage the device. It is not advisable to root any device. If needed, users should pay attention to the internal & RAM spaces while buying smartphones. Doing root to any smartphone breaks the security of the smartphone. So, the device can easily catch the cyber threat. That can hamper the privacy & the device also.

Disadvantages of Rooting Phones:

  • Warranty voiding: It’s important to bear in mind that you can always unroot your device, but certain manufacturers or carriers will void your warranty if you do so. Flashing the software backup you created will restore the device to its original state if you need to send it back for service.
  • Bricking your phone: You run the danger of bricking, or corrupting, your device if something goes wrong during the rooting process. The simplest way to avoid that is to carefully follow the directions. Make sure the instructions you are using are current and that the custom ROM you flash is made just for your phone. You won’t need to be concerned about bricking your smartphone if you do your research.
  • Security Causes: Rooting comes with a few security pitfalls. Using some services or apps could lead to security vulnerabilities on your device. Additionally, some malware uses its rooted state to steal data, install new malware, or send destructive web traffic to other targets.
  • Disabled Apps: Financial platforms like Google Pay and Barclays Mobile Banking do not allow several security-conscious apps and services on rooted devices. In addition, apps like Sky Go and Virgin TV Anywhere that offer copyrighted TV series and movies, as well as Netflix, won’t launch on rooted devices.
