How to Install TradingView on Ubuntu?

The well-known platform TradingView makes it possible for traders, investors, and instructors to work together. This portal disseminates information on financial markets including stocks, futures, FX, and cryptocurrency. There is no need to download a client because TradingView typically runs in a browser. More than 30 million traders and investors use TradingView, a stock screener and tool for chart analysis. It may be utilized by both novice and seasoned traders and investors. For traders and investors, it is the biggest social network online. On this site, the trading and investing community publishes hundreds of ideas and streams every day. You may also investigate, review, and post your own original ideas for trade.

There are two methods are available to install TradingView in Ubuntu Operating System.

  • Method 1: Install TradingView using Terminal
  • Method 2: Install TradingView using Ubuntu’s Software Center (GUI Method)

Method 1: Installation of TradingView using Terminal

The terminal is a command line interface that provides the platform where the user can type the commands to perform various operations like upgrading the application, installing the application, and removing it. Following are the steps to install the TradingView application through Terminal Let’s get started.

Step 1: System Package Update.

Execute the following command into the terminal (press CTRL + ALT + T) to update the system packages.

$ sudo apt update

Step 2: Install the Snap package.

To install the Snap Store run this command this will install the snap package into your operating system.

$ sudo apt install snap

Step 3: Install the TradingView Application.

To install TradingView paste this command into your terminal and run it.

$ sudo snap install  tradingView

Step 4: Open the TradingView Application.

With the help of the below command, the application can be opened.

$ tradingview

Method 2: Install TradingView using Ubuntu’s Software Center (GUI Method)

The tradingView Application is available in Ubuntu’s Software Center. We can install various applications from it. 

Step 1: First, Open the Ubuntu’s Software Center.

Press the “Ubuntu Software Center ” icon from the panel (Taskbar). This will open the New window, then move the cursor to the upper left side’s Search Option.

Step 2: Search the Application.

Then Search the “TradingView” Application.

Step 3: Install TradingView

Then, press the Green Colored “Install” button, this will start the installation process.

If you get prompted for “Authentication” then enter the user password.

Step 4: Launch the Application.

After installation gets complete you can open it through the “Show Application” icon. To do this tap on it.

Then an Application window will display, then go to the Search Bar and type the name of the application i.e. “TradingView”.

hereafter “TradingView” application will be shown in the “Application Menu” window then click on it.

Now, the Application is ready to use.
