Calibre is useful as an e-book reader since it functions as a logical e-book, and you can use its built-in features to retrieve metadata for your book. Install Calibre E-book Reader on Ubuntu

Follow the below steps to install the Calibre E-book Reader on Ubuntu operating system:

Step 1: Update all the repositories using the below command:

sudo apt update

 

Step 2: Install the Calibre application using apt manager, enter the below command in the terminal to install.

sudo apt-get install calibre

 

Enter ‘ Y’ when prompted. Entering Y will start the installation process.

 

Step 3: To launch the application, go to the Activities Panel.

 

Step 4: Search for Calibre Application in the Search Box, and click on the icon to open the application.

 

Step 5: After launching the application, enter the location details where the books will be copied.

 

Step 6: Enter the e-book device. Enter Manufactures and Devices information.

 

Step 7: After configuring everything, click on the Finish button to launch the application UI.

 

Step 8: The below screenshot displays the UI of the Calibre application which has various options like Adding books, Edit metadata, etc.

 

Step 9: We have selected the Get books option, and the window is displayed, which is taking the title, Author details for Book.

 

Step 10: As you can see, we have entered the Title of the book as ‘Python’, and the application has retrieved various E-Books for Python.
