How to Download and Install Wikipedia on Windows?

Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia is the most popular website on the Internet as it contains the latest and correct information about all the latest topics, happenings, and popular celebrities and personalities. It is owned by the Wikimedia Foundation which is a non-profit organization. The Wikimedia Foundation does not earn any money from Wikipedia but it only earns some donations. 

The Wikipedia website is available on many platforms like its popular website, or in form of Android or iOS mobile applications and Windows applications as well. Wikipedia is the most trusted and free encyclopedia in terms of content and information. It does not run any misleading ads or pop-ups on its website to earn any commission. The Wikimedia Foundation has a limited number of employees to manage the Wikipedia encyclopedia. It is the first encyclopedia to be available in multiple languages especially all Indian languages are included in Wikipedia. Installing Wikipedia on Windows

Follow the below steps to install Wikipedia on Windows:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Wikipedia using any web browser like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc.

Step 2: Press the “GET” button on the website to start the download of the Wikipedia Application.

Step 3: It will then automatically re-direct you to the Windows Store App and the download of the Wikipedia app will start in the background.

Step 4: After the download gets finished, the Wikipedia app will get installed within 2-3 minutes. It will then show up on the all programs list of the Start menu.

Step 5: Click on the Wikipedia app to open it. Now it will show you the home screen of the Wikipedia app where it first asks you to log in to your Wikipedia account in order to use the Wikipedia application. If you don’t have an account on Wikipedia, then click on Create new account button and choose an appropriate username and password for your account. Click on the sign-in button to proceed. 

Step 6: When you create a new account and login into it, then the Wikipedia home page opens up where it shows the latest articles about various topics and research findings on it. Click on Search Wikipedia on the home page to search for a particular article that you are looking for.

Step 7: Now, once you have finished all the above steps, your searched article will appear on your screen about the particular article that you have searched in the Wikipedia application.
