Gloify Interview Experience for Software Engineer

In my job hunting days, Dec 2021, I applied to many companies even in Bangalore. I have came across a job posting in LinkedIn regarding React Native Developer(fresher) and catch my interest to apply after reading the job description. Within two days I have got a mail regarding the job opportunity from the recruiter and he scheduled a Virtual Interview with the Lead Front End Developer in the organization after enquiring my details.

First Round:

The Interview started with basic questions regarding CSS, ReactJS and React Native which includes

• Difference between var, let and const
• Arrow Functions and Function Expression
• Flex and grid, Box model
• Selectors in CSS, React Hooks,
• Custom Hooks and Custom Components
• Prop Drilling, State Management, Redux

In the end I have asked to create a screen where a card to be displayed with details from an API.

The Interview ended with a positive note as I answered most of the questions correctly.

Second Round:

After the interview, I have mailed the recruiter about the interview experience and he replied that I am selected to the next round of hiring process. It is an assessment round to create a React native Todo List Application with CRUD operations. The deadline is 3 days, I got sick on second day and it took me 4 days to accomplish the task.

I published the React Native Application in Expo and provided the GitHub code and Application Build file to the team. The hiring team were super impressed with the application. The next day HR mailed with the status of the hiring process and scheduled a call to confirm the details and my acceptance of the role.

The call went around 15 minutes regarding the salary expectations and make me withdrew with the offered salary from the organization.

Conclusion

The Company policies were good and but the salary for the role of junior developer in Bangalore city was seemed less compared to other offers I had at hand. The interview experience was great as I learned the CRUD operations with minimal lines of code.
