Elon Musk Led SpaceX Prepares To Launch New Aircraft ‘Freedom’

Synopsis – The name of the spacecraft has been assigned as Freedom, keeping in mind the fundamental human rights along with innovations that are done to keep alive the spirit of things. 

Elon Musk’s company SpaceX is all set to launch another crew to the space that is International Space Station (ISS) on April 19 in the new spacecraft named ‘Freedom’. The firm will be sending a new astronaut team with 4 members and freedom has been assigned as a Dragon capsule of the mission. The name of the spacecraft has been assigned as Freedom, keeping in mind the fundamental human rights along with innovations that are done to keep alive the spirit of things. Before the final preparations to launch the crew to ISS the Freedom spacecraft has been shifted to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida for conducting the assembly at the SpaceX center in Hawthorne, California. 

One of the crew members Kjell Lindgren from NASA shared the name of other crew members, including Jessica Watkins, Samantha Christoforetti, and Jessica Watkins. He also tweeted regarding the whole mission and wrote, “FREEDOM!! Crew-4 will fly to the International Space Station in a new Dragon capsule named “Freedom.” The name celebrates a fundamental human right, and the industry and innovation that emanate from the unencumbered human spirit.”

Kjell Lindgren also posted a picture with the crew and wrote, “Through the Commercial Crew Program, NASA and SpaceX have restored a national capability and we honor the ingenuity and hard work of those involved. Alan Shepard flew on Freedom 7 at the dawn of human spaceflight. We are honored to bring Freedom to a new generation!” 

The Freedom spacecraft is not the first aircraft that is carrying astronauts to outer space, but before this, there were 3 more aircraft, which did the same, including Resilience, Endeavour, and Endurance. In the coming time, there will be a few more missions, which will be done by SpaceX, where the company’s sixth overall crewed flight along with the private orbital mission Inspiration4 and Demo-2 will also be included. 

Although, the launch of Crew-4 was first planned on April 15, due to some circumstances it was pushed further accompanying some more projects which were collaborating with Axiom Space Ax-1.

Talking about SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies Corp), is an American Aerospace manufacturing organization, which helps by providing services to space transportation services and communication. The company keeps on planning several space missions and has planned many. Some of the forthcoming missions that are being planned by the company are the Ax-1 mission, where SpaceX will be sending a team of astronauts, Vice President Michael López-Alegría, Axiom, along with 3 entrepreneurs and customers who want to visit space. It will be a long 8 days visit to the ISS, where they can totally have an amazing breathtaking experience.
