Elon Muk is all set to rebrand the Twitter logo as the iconic blue bird logo will soon be replaced by the new “X” logo.

Elon Musk took over Twitter, the leading social media platform and app last year on October 27, 2022. Ever since then, multiple updates and changes have been witnessed within the app.

Twitter get rebranded to X

Elon Musk on 23rd July, in a tweet posted a link and announced that the x.com URL will now redirect to twitter.com. He tweeted, “X.com now points to https://twitter.com/. Interim X logo goes live later today,”

Twitter owner is all set to rebrand the leading social media app. After renaming Twitter’s parent company to “X Corporation”, Musk has now planned to change the famous blue bird Twitter logo to the interim “X” logo.

He tweeted: “And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds. If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make go live worldwide tomorrow”.

Musk while taking over Twitter had earlier expressed that his intention to buy Twitter was “an accelerant to creating X, the everything app,” which is concerned with the company x.com that he founded in the year 1999 which later went on to become PayPal.

Elon Musk had already hinted at the app’s brand transformation when he tweeted “Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app” while onboarding Linda Yaccarino, the new CEO of Twitter.

Linda Yaccarino, who was appointed as the new CEO of Twitter in May also expressed her excitement for the upcoming modifications in the app’s branding.

“It’s an exceptionally rare thing — in life or in business — that you get a second chance to make another big impression. Twitter made one massive impression and changed the way we communicate. Now, X will go further, transforming the global town square.”- Linda Yaccarino

Linda also said “X is the future state of unlimited interactivity – centered in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking – creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Powered by AI, X will connect us all in ways we’re just beginning to imagine.”

Elon Musk’s admiration for the letter “X” has always been evident. Even his rocket company SpaceX and the X.com company that he established in 1999 also have an X in them.

He also conducted a poll asking the users to vote if they want Twitter’s default theme to be black or white and almost 74.8% of users voted for the color black.

Musk’s constant trials to bring new changes mostly turned out to be technical failures or were highly disliked by Twiteratti. Twitter has almost 200 million daily active users and these constant changes like DM limits on unverified accounts, or paying for the features which were earlier free with Twitter Blue didn’t turn out to be quite impressive.
