Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) – Landran Campus Experience

Hello everyone, in this article I am going to tell you about my campus journey which has came to end in few months. if you are pursuing engineering in CSE/IT you are lucky. There are many people who have adream to become code and a well developed software engineer or developer. I have done my engineering from Chandigarh group of colleges, Landran. It is a very good college if you want to pursue engineering. the staff and management is so good that they will expose you to different opportunities to climb up stairs of your life.

I started my 4 years journey on 26-september-2020 , I was unaware that this journey will teach me many things from life lessons to life making decisions. in my first year of college I was unaware of data structures and all the coding stuff. I was thinking only academics will help me to get a good placement but i was wrong and many of you also think the same in your first year. I was focusing on my academics but it was not as easy as it looks , my journey was started during the covid time which was a tough time for all of us. I didn’t get much exposure toward the knowledge and to the guidance of seniors. This went same through the second year of my college I was only focusing on my academics and also I scored good in my academics. But in the third year of my college my classes were in offline mode and the college start as it was before 2020 . We all were very happy to attend offline classes , meeting each other then I met my seniors and some batchmates , they told me about the placements , companies and what I should do to get in a dream company or any other MNC, from here I started preparing for my placements. I get involved in extra curricular activities , Every college has some clubs. My hobby is photography so I followed my hobby and get into that club also i have lead the club as a vice-president . These things are also necessary to boost you personality and also will enhance your resume.

During preparation i have taken a lot of help from GeeksforGeeks to clear my doubts or whenever I want to learn any new thing. When I was doing my DSA i used to practice here a lot and trust me this is the best thing i have done during my preparation. when I was in my fourth year of college , companies started visiting college to recruit and i was fully prepared to get int my dream company for which I was preparing. I am writing this in my fourth year and my placements are still on .

Hope you all find it relatable and you can learn what to do and what to not from my experience . I will only say that make a balance of your academics with your coding skills. Focus on core subjects and build your communication skills to get placed and try to practice coding problem on GeeksforGeeks also problem of the day will boost your practice and confidence .
