B Ed Distance Education: Eligibility
Regular and distance B.Ed courses have distinct eligibility requirements. Many students select Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for distant B.Ed courses. However, most universities have comparable eligibility requirements to IGNOU’s distant B.Ed.
B.Ed remote education eligibility requirements are below:
- Applicants must be Indian.
- Minimum BA marks are 50%.
- When applying for the B.Ed Entrance Test or B.Ed distance education admission, you must have a Bachelor degree (Arts/B.Sc, Science/B.Com, Commerce/BCA, Computer Application/B.Sc, Home Science, BBM) or a Masters Degree (Commerce/Social Sciences/MA).
- Candidates must have a B.E/B.Tech degree with at least 55%.
- Science/math students or those with an equivalent certificate can apply for the programme.
- The qualifying test or examination must have yielded 40–45% for SC/ST/BC/PH candidates.
- Bachelor or Higher Degree students in their last year of a Qualifying Examination may apply.
- They must show the mark sheet and pass certificate during admission counselling. Refusal will result.
B Ed Distance Education: Entrance Exams
Applicants to Bachelor of Education programmes are required to pass a battery of tests. The following are examples of nationally recognised BEd entrance exams: BHU BEd Entrance Test, UP BEd JEE, AP EDCET, VMOU BEd, Rajasthan PTET, GUBEDCET, Odisha BEd Entrance Exam, and many more. Institutions of higher learning administer these tests. Completing the entrance exam is a prerequisite for enrollment in the Bachelor of Education (BEd) programme.
