Angular PrimeNG is an open-source framework with a rich set of native Angular UI components that are used for great styling and this framework is used to make responsive websites with very much ease. It provides a lot of templates, components, theme design, an extensive icon library, and much more. In this article, we are going to learn Angular PrimeNG Table Methods.

Angular PrimeNG Table is used to display data in tabular format. The methods have different functionality and we can alter the Table according to the use case.

Angular PrimeNG Table Methods:

  • reset: This method resets the filtering.
  • clearState: It clears the table state.
  • exportCSV(config): This exports the table data in CSV format.
  • scrollToVirtualIndex(index): It scrolls to the node with the given index when virtual scrolling is enabled.
  • scrollTo(options): It scrolls to a position of a scrollable table viewport.

Syntax:

<p-table
    [value]="data">
</p-table>

// In app.component.ts
this.table.reset();

Creating Angular application & Module Installation:

Step 1: Create an Angular application using the following command.

ng new geeks_angular

Step 2: After creating your project folder i.e. geeks_angular, move to it using the following command.

cd geeks_angular

Step 3: Install PrimeNG in your given directory.

npm install primeng --save
npm install primeicons --save

Project Structure:

Example 1: In the following example, we have a simple Table and we reset the filter with a button click.

  • app.component.html
