Accenture is a leading provider of strategy and consulting, interactive services, technology services, and operational services. Accenture operates on a global scale, with over 700,000 people spread throughout more than 200 cities and 120 countries. It is one of the biggest corporations in the world. Accenture is dedicated to establishing a welcoming, diversified environment where each employee can give their best effort. Accenture organises the annual Hack Diva hackathon, which is intended exclusively for Indian female students, as part of this commitment.

Accenture Hack Diva is a hackathon that gives female students the chance to demonstrate their abilities and ingenuity in addressing challenges in the real world. All female students pursuing a BE/BTech degree in any engineering area are eligible to participate in the hackathon. The hackathon usually takes place in March or April every year, and the winning teams get rewards and job openings at Accenture.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Female students from any branch or stream who will be graduating in 2024 or 2023 with a BE or BTech degree after completing a full-time programme
  • Engineering students in their first, second, or third year are ineligible and will be disqualified.
  • Women employed at Accenture are not eligible.

Rounds in Accenture Hack Diva

Online MCQ round

The 60-minute online MCQ session consists of 20 multiple-choice questions on the fundamentals of coding and operating systems. The objectives of the questions are to evaluate the participants’ fundamental understanding of computer science principles.

  • Review data structures and algorithms, programming languages, and operating systems.
  • Find resources online and in libraries to help you prepare.

Online coding round

The 90-minute online coding round consists of two programming questions. The objectives of the questions are to evaluate the participants’ coding and problem-solving abilities. The choice of programming language is entirely up to the participants.

Tips to prepare for the onlinethe online coding round:

  • Practise solving programming problems on websites like HackerEarth and LeetCode.
  • Practise writing code in the programming language of your choice.

Grand finale

The top teams from the online rounds are invited to the grand finale, which is typically held over a weekend. At the grand finale, the teams are given a real-world problem to solve and have 24 hours to develop a solution. On the second day of the grand finale, the teams present their solutions to a panel of judges. The judges evaluate the solutions based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity and innovation
  • Technical feasibility
  • Scalability and impact
  • Presentation skills

The top teams at the grand finale are awarded prizes and job opportunities at Accenture.

  • Practise brainstorming solutions to real-world problems.
  • Practise presenting your ideas to a group of people.
  • Consider finding a team of likeminded students to work with.

Rewards

  • The top 10 candidates will be awarded prizes worth ₹25,000.
  • Top-shortlisted candidates will get an opportunity to participate in Accenture’s Fast-Track recruitment process.
  • All candidates who receive offer letters will be given the option to onboard as Associate Software Engineers at a decent package.
