ABES Engineering College Campus Experience

It is needless to say that college plays a pivotal role in shaping students’ futures. Investing in a reputable college and being associated with it comes with its own set of advantages. In this article, I will be sharing insights about my college.

I am a second-year CSE student currently pursuing a B.Tech degree from ABES Engineering College.

ABES Engineering College, abbreviated as ABESEC, stands for the Academy of Business and Engineering Sciences. It is a highly esteemed institution affiliated with AKTU. Founded in the year 2000, it has gained recognition for its exceptional standing, securing the first rank within AKTU. Notably, ABESEC holds a Grade A accreditation from NAAC, underscoring its commitment to academic excellence. Offering a diverse range of programs including B.Tech, MBA, and MCA, the institute has positioned itself as an emerging establishment in the education sector. The college has garnered a reputation for providing outstanding placement opportunities and displaying academic prowess, making it a coveted choice for aspiring students.

Infrastructure:

The college boasts 5 blocks, each dedicated to different departments. The campus is equipped with amenities such as air conditioning, ample parking, a swimming pool, and an array of sports facilities. With campus-wide Wi-Fi access, students can stay connected and access information seamlessly. The bustling student center accommodates various student engagements. Additionally, state-of-the-art research laboratories and comfortable classrooms enhance the learning experience. When a breather is needed, students can unwind amidst the serene campus environment or find solace in the renowned Gauri’s Cafe.

Academics:

ABESEC is renowned for its academic rigor. While many college students often express concerns about their institutions’ commitment to academics, ABESEC takes this matter seriously. The college administers numerous internal tests and class quizzes to ensure students grasp topics thoroughly and perform well in university exams. Moreover, students have the provision to take makeup tests if they are dissatisfied with their internal scores.

Faculty:

The college boasts highly educated faculties in each department. They are always prepared to support students in research work and skill development. During project assignments, students can select these professors as mentors, and they prioritize guiding students and providing the best available resources.

Events and Societies:

With more than 20+ clubs and societies, students can engage in various communities of their choice. Needless to say, the campus is always buzzing with events. From cultural societies and coding clubs to literary societies, sports clubs, and student chapters of organizations like GFG, CodeChef, and GDSC, there’s always something happening. It’s safe to say that one can never feel bored here.

Among the major events at ABESEC, TEDx ABESEC stands out, where esteemed guests are invited to deliver enriching talks. It’s an experience that leaves a lasting impact. Another significant event is Genero, the annual college fest, known for its excitement and enjoyable activities.

Placements:

Now, let’s address the eagerly anticipated question: what about the placements? The placement opportunities at ABESEC are undoubtedly one of its major highlights. Students consistently secure offers from esteemed companies such as Google, Amazon, and Goldman Sachs, among others. In the current year, the highest package secured was an impressive 52 LPA.
