Meta owns WhatsApp and is planning to add new features that will let users sort messages by date, see secret navigation marks, and get suggestions for new groups. The changes will be available to users of the Android operating system.

Channel Alerts were added as a new feature to the WhatsApp Beta version for Android 2.23.26.6. Mashable says that all users should be able to view it within the next few days.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is going to add a new feature that will let users search for messages based on when they were sent. In addition to this new function, secret navigation markers and channel alerts will also be added. Some of the test administrators already know how to use these tools.

Only a small group of beta users can use the new features right now. Meanwhile, the story on WABetaInfo says that they will soon be available to more people.

A tool called “channel alerts” is aimed at channel managers and is meant to make their jobs easier. Shortly after management learns about channel bans, any problems may be fixed.

This feature also lets managers send a direct message to WhatsApp asking that their channels be returned to the way they were before. Using the “channel alerts” feature on the “channel info” screen, channel owners can make sure they are following the rules and see when they have broken them, according to a story by Mashable.

  • WhatsApp introduces two exciting features with its latest software update! Experience a seamless scrolling experience as menu buttons and the app bar vanish when you scroll down. Plus, now you can text the date for added convenience.
  • The second feature allows users to effortlessly locate notes in their chat logs, saving valuable time. Easily find letters from a specific date with this handy tool. In addition, WhatsApp users can now include voice notes, providing a one-time listening experience – a feature introduced in 2021. This “View Once” option also applies to movies and photos, adding an extra layer of safety to your conversations. Stay tuned for an enhanced and secure chatting experience!

How to Use WhatsApp’s Channel Alerts Feature

Following these easy steps will make it easy for users to take advantage of the Channel Alerts feature once it’s live:

Step 1: Tap on a channel to subscribe

The owner of a channel can give users a link to subscribe to that channel, or users can use WhatsApp’s search function to find the channel they want to subscribe to.

Step 2: Get alerts After subscribing

Users will start getting texts in their WhatsApp app with channel alerts.

Step 3: Handle Newsletter Signups

Individuals can finetune their notification and channel subscriptions right in the app, making sure they get details that are relevant to them.

How to Personalize Your Update Experience

You can make the changes you want whenever and however you want. Using the sites you like, make your own way to stay up to date.

1. Unmute by default As standard, alerts are not turned on. Activate the notifications on every channel to be informed when fresh content is available.

2. The List of Updates You can check Access Channels whenever you want since they are easy to get to from the Updates tab.

3. Following only certain people Follow the people or groups that you’re interested in. You can check out groups before you fully commit because you don’t have to join them right away. You can also avoid a site whenever you want to get more control over your messages.
