Vellore Institute Of Technology Campus Experience

Disclaimer: I did not want to harm the feelings of anyone, just everything I wrote concerns my perspective.

Hello Everyone, I am Currently in a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) at Vellore Institute of Technology. My Experience in this college is super except for food(“as it is in South India). So VIT is a tier 2 college as everyone knows.

My First year was Online (“Corona Batch”). So semester 1 was Online but we enjoyed college from home. Enjoyed classes in the Microsoft team with my mother’s food.

My Second year was fully Offline, and we got first-time experience of college and college fest. Theory is preferred more in this college when it comes to curriculum. (“MY OBSERVATION”). Semester 4 was like anything (2.5 months) semester because VIT needed to take admissions for the upcoming batch.

In my Third year, not to expect more, realized about Industries and their recession in the 24′ FY. After all, Semester 6 is Good for now with placement training. In 2023 900+ companies came to VIT for placement, but in 2024 500+ companies only came. what about 2025? (My placement) , HOPE LUCK!

If you are in a Tier 2 college, you should know DSA+DEV. both are necessary. Development will not be taught in any college, you should do it on your own. Let’s see, Where my placement will be.
