Upstox Interview Experience for SDE 6 Month Internship (Off-Campus)

This was an off-campus opportunity. I found the opening on LinkedIn and applied for it. Just the next day after applying I got a call from the recruiting team that they liked my resume and wanted to commence the recruitment process. He discussed my availability for the Online Assessment.

Round 1:

The first round was an online assessment that included 15 MCQs from CS fundamentals, DBMS, OS, OOPS and Data Structures.

There were also 2 coding questions. The exam was on the hackerrank platform. Questions were easy-medium level.

Round 2:

I got a call from the recruiting team at 11 AM the day of giving the test that they wanted to conduct a technical interview round on the same day at 5 PM. I agreed.

The interview lasted for almost 1.30 hours. The interviewer was very nice. He started with his intro and then asked the same of me. After that, he asked me about OOP concepts. Then asked me my favourite coding language and why it is so. Then he gave me 2 DSA problems of easy-medium level.
Then he asked me to open my GitHub and to show my projects. For almost an hour we discussed my projects. He asked for concepts from the tech stack I used and asked me to explain the project.

Just 2 hours after finishing my interview I again got a call to schedule an HR round the next day.

Round 3:

This was an HR round that started with my introduction and then the interviewer asked basic HR questions like What are your strengths, 3 words in which you describe yourself, and what about your integrity. This round was completed in just 12 minutes.

Finally, after a week I got a call from HR that I had been selected for the internship.
