On Nov 15, 2022, @UCertify visited our campus. It offered three profiles on our campus. Which are,

  • Business Development Executive or Sales Profile
  • Technical Scripter
  • Web Developer

I was interested in the Web Developer profile. Therefore, I will be sharing with you my experience with that profile.

First, we were given a pre-placement talk session on our campus itself. Where they made us understand the Aim and Vision of the company. They made us understand the roles and responsibilities of respective profiles as well. They allowed us to ask our queries.

There are a total of 9 rounds. Where the first round was an elimination round. Then the aggregate percentage of the group of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds was the elimination round. Then there were 4 screening rounds including one PI which are non-eliminatory. And finally, there was one more last PI.

Round-1: Technical Test

Technical Test included 48 questions which are of 6 sections including,

  • Basic Programming Concepts
  • Object Oriented Programming Concepts
  • Database Management System with SQL
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

It was an elimination round. And the criteria for qualifying for this round is 70%. The time was 90 minutes. The questions are basic in all the respective sections.

Result: I was selected for this round.

Round 2: HTML & CSS Technical Test: It contained maybe 40-45 questions and the time was 60minutes. The questions were about MCQ and coding. The level of questions was intermediate. There might be a 50-50 ratio between coding questions and MCQ questions.

Round 3: JavaScript Technical Test: It contained 40questions again. The time was also the same, which is 60mins. The level of questions was intermediate. The ratio of the questions was 60-40 between theory and coding.

Round 4: PHP Technical Test: It contained 25 questions. The time was 60mins. The level of questions was intermediate. The ratio between theory and coding questions was 60-40.

Result: The aggregate percentile score of all these sections will be considered for further rounds. In our case, the percentile is 70. And I was selected for further rounds.

Round 5: Logical Reasoning

Round 6: Debugging in PHP

Round 7: Verbal Ability Screening Rounds

I think there were 40-40 questions in each section. All the rounds are non-eliminating rounds. But these rounds will impact your overall performance.  Screening rounds will be conducted to check whether a candidate is overall a perfect fit for the organization or not. After the screening rounds, they asked for my resume which was also a part of the screening round.

Result: I got selected for further rounds.

Round 8: Personal Screening Interview: This was a mock interview that was conducted to check your communication skills and your domain knowledge. It was not very technical but yeah!!! take it as a real one, because they judge you on every single parameter.

Result: Qualified for this round.

Round 9: Final Interview with the Chief of the Company

This round was the toughest round. Basically, this was through a virtual meeting when I entered the virtual room, I wished him greetings of time! He wished me the same. He asked me to “Be yourself” this was his first statement. He said this thing 2-3 times just Be Yourself you don’t need to put any mask on your face even though he asked me to speak in the native language so that I felt more comfortable and of course! It gave the examiner more freedom to deeply check your knowledge. His first question to me was, tell me about your Technical Skills, I told him the languages that I am familiar with and some of my core subjects that I was confident enough about. He picked DBMS, as DBMS was his favorite one. He asked me about,

  • Joins
  • Group By
  • Having
  • Stored Procedures
  • Trigger

My second subject was Operating Systems that he asked me about,

  • Kernel

Then, there are some Managerial questions asked me.

  • What will be your reaction if you fail this interview?
  • Do you have any problem with relocation?
  • How much time will it take to learn any new programming language?
  • How much time will it take to learn Japanese?
  • Do you have any experience? I have an experience of 2 months in SEO.
  • He asked me why didn’t continue with SEO. I justified him with my reason.
  • Show me your projects. He asked me questions about my projects.
  • If you want to achieve something great in your life then you have to sacrifice something. So, what can you sacrifice?
  • Lastly Any questions for me?
  • I asked, do you want to give me any advice or any feedback on the basis of this discussion that we had during these 20-30mins?

He gave me very valuable advice. Lastly, it was an amazing experience.

Result: I got the final selection for the Web Developer Profile.

Tips:

  • Be confident of whatever you’re saying.
  • Be positive at the time of your interview.
  • If you seem to be interactive, it adds good value.
  • English should not seem to be enforced on you. It should look spontaneous.
  • Keep a decent smile on your face
