I recently had the opportunity to attend an interview after successfully clearing the TCS TAG NQT exam on February 9, 2024, which I gained through Trailhead (Salesforce).

The interview took place onsite in Noida on April 16, 2024. However, prior to the interview, there was some uncertainty regarding the position I was being considered for. Despite multiple attempts to contact HR for clarification, I received only an automated response indicating their absence.

Upon arrival and registration, I learned that the interview was for a digital role, specifically for a Salesforce developer position.

The interview panel comprised three interviewers, covering technical, HR, and MR (managerial) aspects. Questions were predominantly focused on Salesforce, technical aspects related to my resume, and basic HR inquiries.

Some of the questions posed during the interview included:

  • What is your understanding of Salesforce?
  • Can you explain what a Salesforce org is?
  • What are triggers in Salesforce and how are they created?
  • How many types of triggers are there?
  • Technical questions from my resume, including basic SQL queries (group by and like) and Python-related inquiries.
  • HR questions regarding willingness to relocate and motivations for joining TCS.

The interview lasted for over 20 minutes, during which the interviewers maintained a friendly and understanding demeanor. They encouraged me to provide responses based on my experiences and learning, even if I couldn’t recall exact details. Some questions were intentionally tricky to assess how I responded under pressure.

Overall, the interview experience was a blend of challenging moments and supportive interactions. The interviewers provided ample time to respond, creating a conducive environment for showcasing skills and competencies.
