p5.js | channels() Function

The channels() function is an inbuilt function in p5.js library. This function is used to display the number of channels, which are playing that time on the web. There are six types of sound channels right now as mentioned below:

  • Mono
  • Sterio
  • Prospective stereo
  • 4.1 surround sound
  • 5.1 surround sound
  • 7.1 surround sound

Syntax:

channels()

Note: All the sound-related functions only work when the sound library is included in the head section of the index.html file.

Parameter: This function does not accept any parameter.

Below example illustrates the p5.js channels() function in JavaScript:
