It was a 1-hour test that took place on Mettl. It was divided into 2 sections: Aptitude section followed by SQL. Out of 268 registered students, 48 students were shortlisted for the technical interview round.

Round 1 (Technical Interview): The technical interview round lasted for nearly 30 minutes. I was a bit nervous going into the interview. The interviewer was very calm and made me feel comfortable before starting the proceedings.

  1. Tell me about yourself. I briefly explained my academic journey, hackathons, conferences, and interests.
  2. I mentioned Python in my resume, and he asked some basic questions based on Python.
  3. Briefly mention the projects that you have done in your undergrad with their real-time significance. I explained about a project related to twitter sentiment analysis and he asked me about its real-time utilities, I gave a few use cases about fake news in the era of AI for instance deepfake technology.
  4. Briefly explain the 4 pillars of OOP
  5. He gave me 1 coding question to solve where I had to fetch the first 5 numbers from a stream of data and return the squares of those numbers.
  6. He gave me 2 SQL problems to solve. The first one was simple based on the concept of joins. The other one was based on joining a certain column of table 1 to a certain column of table 2. We were free to make some assumptions based on real-time scenarios.

Round 2 (HR Interview):

  1. Tell me about yourself.
  2. He asked about any particular hobbies that I have.
  3. A brief discussion on projects.
  4. I had mentioned a few conferences that I attended in my resume. The HR asked questions based on that and at last asked me about my masters’ preferences seeing my resume.
