MIT WPU

MIT WPU (Maharashtra Institute of Technology – World Peace University ) is one of the most known and best colleges in Maharashtra. The campus lies at the heart of Pune in Kothrud, spread over 16 acres. Although MIT has many campuses, the main campus is MIT WPU. This blog is a guide to getting admission to MIT WPU through my personal experience.

Admission basis

MIT offers various courses in fields of engineering, finance, business, etc. Admissions in undergraduate engineering courses like BTech and Integrated MTech, are being done on the basis of JEE Mains rank, MHTCET rank, and direct admissions are done on the basis of 10+2 board marks.

Online Application Form

The online Application form is available on the college website. Make sure to fill out the application before the deadline which will be mentioned on their website. The application form consists of :

• Filling in your personal details which the form asks
• Filling in your educational details including your 10+2 board marks and MHTCET or JEE Mains percentile
• Writing your statement of purpose in the given column in the form
• Uploading your documents
• Paying application fees
• Downloading your “Acknowledgement Receipt”

Documents Needed

You need to upload these documents while filling out your online application form and while taking admission.

• 10th board marksheet
• 12th board marksheet
• MHTCET or JEE Mains result card
• Your Passport size photo
• Your digital signature
• An affidavit for a gap year on ₹100 stamp paper (only if took a year gap)
• Domicile Certificate (if you passed your 10+2 from Maharashtra Board)
• Caste Certificate ( if you are not from the general category and caste certificate must be declared by Maharashtra State Government)

Admission Process

After filling out the online application, download the “Acknowledgement Receipt”. Admissions and branch allotment will be based on your merit and on the basis of choice filling done in the online application form. You will receive an Email, having your provisional admission letter when you will be allotted any branch of your choice in college. Guidelines of admission, hostel, and brochure will be sent with a provisional admission letter to your email. Now to confirm your admission, you need to register and fill in the required fees in the link given in the provisional admission letter. After you are done with that, You will get your final admission letter and admission ID, on which you can apply for a hostel online. The hostel is filled pretty fast, First Come First to Get, so don’t be late.

Why MIT WPU?

• Academics: MIT got a great academics, with a lot of branches and lot a of subjects in every branch. MIT updates its curriculum every 3 years. You will be studying your major subjects, minor subjects, extra subjects like the constitution, human sciences, and a lot more, and a lot of optional subjects are offered too.
• Career: MIT has a good alumni network and great placement opportunities with the year’s highest placement as ₹44Lpa and average as ₹7 Lpa.
• Extra-curriculars: MIT is the leading college of Pune in terms of hackathons, fests, exploring, etc. MIT has a lot of cultural events every month. MIT also organizes a lot of inter-college events including hackathons, robo-fests, and Technofest.
• Infrastructure: MIT has a pretty great infrastructure of all its campuses along with its nice locations. The main campus is very beautiful with lush green campus and great architectural design.
