How can I get admission to IIITs in India?
IIITs usually take admissions through National level entrance exam which may vary depending upon the course you are applying for. It may be JEE Main for undergraduate programmes, GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) for postgraduate programmes, JAM(Joint Admission Test) for M.Sc. programmes or UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) for design-related courses.
Candidates must clear these examinations in order to get admission in IIITs in India. Students must also score IIIT cut-off or above and after obtaining the desired score they are to appear for Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA).

Are IIITs private or government?
IIIT Allahabad, IIIT Gwalior, IIIT Kancheepuram, IIIT Jabalpur, IIIT Kurnool are established by MHRD. All the remaining 20 institutes were established by the Union Cabinet on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model and are funded by the Central Government, State Governments and industrial partners in the ratio of 50:35:15.
What is the difference between IITs and IIITs?
To get admission in IIIT you have to qualify JEE Main and based on ranks and cut off marks you get admission in IIT while JEE Advanced is qualified after JEE Main.
