Eligibility Criteria

Age limit:

  • The aspirants should be less than 24 years old as of 1st August 2024
  • The age limit may be relaxed by a period of five years for candidates of SC/ST/ and PWD categories.

Educational requirement: The candidates need to meet any of the educational criteria-

  • Passed 10+2 pass from an authorized institute.
  • Cleared Senior Secondary Examination conducted by National Open School with at least five subjects.
  • Appeared for any Public/Board/University Exams in India or International countries that the Association of Indian Universities recognizes as equivalent to the 10+2 system.

2. NID DAT

The NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is conducted by the National Institute of Design once a year for B.Des and M.Des.

Note: The admission process for 2023-24 has been now OPEN.

Age limit:

  • For General Category and General EWS Category: Only candidates born on or after 1st July 2003 are eligible.
  • For OBC-NCL, SC, ST: Only students born on or after 1 July 2000 are eligible.
  • For PwD: Only students born on or after 1 July 1998 are eligible.
  • For foreign students: Only students born on or after 1 July 2003 are eligible.

Educational requirement:

  • Candidates who have passed or will pass 10+2 exams in the academic year 2023-24 in any stream from any Indian Recognised Education body are eligible.

3. UCEED

The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay once a year. After qualifying for this exam, students can easily enroll in B.Des programs.

Eligibility Criteria

Age limit:

The candidates should have been born on or after 1st October 1999, if belong to and born on 1st October 1994 if belong to SC/ST or PwD category).

Educational requirement:

  • The candidates should have passed all the subjects of class 12 or equivalent.
  • Also, students appearing for Class 12 exams in 2024 for the first time can also attempt UCEED 2024. However, the candidates who had cleared class 12 exams before or in 2022 are not eligible.

4. FDDI AIST
