Apple Pay offers a fast and secure way to make purchases both in stores and online. To really take advantage of its convenience, you’ll want to link your bank account directly for easy transactions. Here’s a breakdown of how to do it.

Why Link Your Bank Account?

  • Simplified Transactions: Send money to friends and family or make direct payments with linked accounts rather than relying on a debit/credit card.
  • Fund Your Apple Cash: Your bank account becomes a source to conveniently add funds to your Apple Cash balance, which can be used for Apple Pay purchases.

Steps to Add Bank Account to Apple Pay

On Your iPhone:

  1. Open the Wallet app.
  2. Tap on your Apple Card. (If you don’t have an Apple Card, tap on the “+” symbol to add a card and then “Debit or Credit Card“).
  3. Tap the More button (looks like three dots).
  4. Select Card Details.
  5. Scroll to Bank Accounts and tap Add a Bank Account.
  6. Input your bank’s routing number and your account number.
  7. Tap Next and confirm those banking details.

On Your iPad:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Wallet & Apple Pay.
  3. Tap on your Apple Card.
  4. Select Bank Accounts and tap Add a Bank Account.
  5. Input your bank’s routing number and your account number.
  6. Tap Next and confirm those banking details.

Notes

  • Only US-based bank accounts are currently compatible with this feature.
  • Your bank may ask for additional verification steps before the link is complete.

Once your bank account is connected to Apple Pay, you’ll be able to make seamless payments using your iPhone or Apple Watch. Your financial information remains secure while you enjoy the convenience of Apple Pay’s technology.
