Answer: The number of bits in an IPv6 address is 128 bits or 16 Bytes.

The IPv6 address is of 128 bits or 16 Bytes. It is represented using hexadecimal numbers. The 128 bits of IPv6 address are divided into 8 parts each part contains four hexadecimal numbers i.e., 16 bits. Each set of every four hexadecimal number is separated by colon. An example of IPv6 address is 0A12: 452D: 1234: AB45: 269D: 3782: 21C3: 4215. The IPv6 is the latest version of Internet Protocol i.e., IP.
