HBTU Kanpur’s story began in 1920 with the efforts of Sir Spencer Harcourt Butler of the Kanpur Government Institute (now Kanpur). He was then the Governor of the United States (now Uttar Pradesh). The organization initially focused on science and technology. It was later renamed the State Technical Institute in 1921 and renamed the prestigious Harcourt Butler Technical Institute (HBTI) in 1926. Since then, HBTI has become a respected name in science and technology, supporting development and implementation.

He tries to instill good research in his students. School character development shows the right behavior. In 1965, the HBTI achieved self-management, an important step in its development.

In 2016, the government of Uttar Pradesh sponsored HBTI for Harcourt Butler Technical University. This development reflects a broad mission to be a home university and focus on excellence in engineering, technology, science, humanities and management.

The University currently has two campuses: the East Campus covers 77 acres and the West Campus covers an area of ​​251.8 acres. These schools are located in the center of Kanpur, only about 3 km away. In 2021, HBTU celebrates an important event, namely its 100th anniversary. The Prime Minister of India attended His Highness Centennial celebrations.

In short, HBTU Kanpur’s journey began in 1920 with a focus on science and technology. Aiming to be a leader in various research fields, it changed its name to Harcourt Butler University of Technology in 2016.

Finale Year boys Hostel:

The final year boys’ hostel at HBTU is situated within the west campus. While the rooms in the other wings are fine, Wing A is your first choice if you are looking for the best service. However, residents are responsible for purchasing additional items if needed.

  • Vishwakarma Hostel (Vishwakarma chhatrawas): Now let’s talk about Vishwakarma Hostel, commonly known as Vishwakarma Chhatrawas. More importantly, this hostel is one of the largest in HBTU Kanpur and can easily accommodate around 400 students. Given its large capacity, it houses many residents.But residents need to prepare themselves for other personal property. This hotel is a hotel.
  • Alakhanda Girls’ Dormitory: Alakhanda Girls’ Dormitory is an integral part of HBTU Kanpur, specially designed for female students. It has a capacity of 150 students and has a peaceful atmosphere and a view that increases its charm. The ambiance and environment of the hostel is very nice which makes it popular with college girls.
  • Mandakini Hall: Mandakini Hall is a women-only institute of HBTU Kanpur. It has three rooms that provide good accommodation for up to 105 students. The Mission fosters a sense of community among female students by creating a safe and supportive environment for its residents.
  • Gangotri Hostel: Gangotri Hostel is another girls hostel following a similar pattern. It has three rooms and has a capacity of 105 students.
  • Bhagirathi Hostel: Bhagirathi Hostel is also exclusively for girls and provides triple rooms for all 118 students.and contribute to their education at HBTU.
  • Ambedkar Hostel: Ambedkar Hostel serves men in need and provides rooms for 106 students.
  • Aryabhatt Hall: Again, Aryabhatt Hall is a male dormitory providing one room for 106 students. Dormitories focus on creating an environment that fosters independent learning and personal growth for all residents.

The school has a good reputation and was ranked 20th in India Today 2018. They work hard to ensure that every eligible student is placed in the right companies for school recruitment.

Significant student studies and internships at the university demonstrate this. Students get the best job year: In 2017-18, In 2018 -2019 the situation is better, the highest LPA is 37, and the average LPA is 6.03. This trend continues with 60 LPA and 7.18 LPA respectively in 2019-20. Despite the 2020-21 competition, students receive aid at 43.5 LPA, with an average of 6.46 LPA.

In 2021-22, 106 big companies will start work. The highest demand is 44.5 LPA, while the average is 8.82 LPA. 202 students registered this year.

One student even received a decent amount of Rs. An internship at Flipkart pays Rs 1 lakh per month.
