In one of his interviews with indianexpress.com Aman Pandey said, “Programs like this (Google’s) helped not just research companies like ours, but even general users in understanding the importance of privacy and security research.”

Sarah Jacobus one of the members of the Vulnerability Reward Program confirmed this news and also said that in Aman’s first report in the year 2019 he discovered almost 280 vulnerabilities all by himself among various Google platforms.

Also, there was a special mention for Aman Pandey on numerous websites for reporting the bug on Google. Apart from that Sarah also told that the Google VRP team has given around record-breaking $8,700,000 in reward to numerous people for reporting bugs in Google search, chrome, play, etc.

Now who is Aman Pandey? – Aman Pandey is an Indore-based Techie and the CEO of BugsMirror. He completed his B.Tech from NIT Bhopal and specializes in Java, mobile application development, product development, mobile applications, and Software as a Service. He started his company BugsMirror in the year 2021 only, but the company is instrumental in findings bugs from the year 2019.

Aman is very good at his work and turned Google’s weakness into a golden opportunity for himself and his company. Moreover, in this digital world Aman aimed in making the operating system a safe place for everyone. As cybersecurity has become a prime concern for people all around the world and we want our personal data to be untouched, thus he helped by reporting numerous vulnerabilities in Android and made it safer.

Though BugsMirror is a new company they are trying to do a great job and their company motto is, “Our motto is to secure and buttress everyone against cyber security threats and ensure that your smartphones, PDA, or any IoT devices are free from malware and viruses. With this vision, currently, our focus is on Android. Being open-source, Android offers innumerable combinations of hardware and software to develop devices undreamt by even the operating systems creator.”

This is not just one instance when Google has appreciated people for pointing out the vulnerabilities but there are many similar programs where Google did the same. They keep on identifying people who help them in finding any problem with their various platforms. Many big companies like Apple and Microsoft run such programs where people are given opportunities to find out the flaws. These programs are basically known as the ‘Bugs Bounty’ program which aims in making them a safer platform.

So apart from Aman Pandey, Google has rewarded many people, among them was Soham Datta, who was a second-year engineering student from Manipal Institute of Technology. He was awarded around 2 lakh rupees for discovering a fault in one of Google’s products under their Vulnerability Reward Program. Before him Vishnu Prasad from Neyyattinkara, Kerala was given around 8.7 lakh rupees for finding out a bug in Google’s Gmail and administrative page.
