The Institute of Banking Employees Selection (IBPS) held the IBPS Clerk Prelims 2022 on September 3rd and 4th, 2022, to select personnel for Clerical cadre vacancies in 11 Participating Banks throughout India. Preliminary Exam Pattern for IBPS Clerk Exam 2023

The IBPS Clerk 2023 Prelims Exam Pattern has undergone significant modifications. The IBPS Clerk preliminary test is held online, and applicants have 1 hour to finish the preliminary exam (20 minutes for each part).

Candidates must qualify in all three exams by achieving IBPS-determined cut-off marks. A sufficient number of applicants in each category will be shortlisted for the Online Main test, as determined by IBPS based on the prerequisites.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern for Mains Exam:

According to the most recent IBPS update, the IBPS Clerk Mains Exam will now consist of 190 questions that must be answered in 160 minutes.

Previously, the Computer Aptitude and Reasoning Ability Sections were held separately. However, in the most recent IBPS update, both of these portions have been combined to form 50 questions that must be answered in 45 minutes. Both the preliminary and main exams will be administered in both English and Hindi.

Marking Scheme of IBPS Clerk 2023:

  1. IBPS Clerk has a different marking scheme for prelims and main exams. However, a negative marking of 0.25 of the allotted marks is applicable in both exams.
  2. IBPS Clerk 2023 Preliminary question paper will be 100 marks.
  3. Each question will carry one mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  4. IBPS Clerk 2023 Main question paper will be 200 marks.
  5. Each question from the General/ Financial Awareness, General English, and Quantitative Aptitude sections will carry 1 mark while an incorrect answer will cost you 0.25 marks.
  6. Each question from the Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude section will be 1.20 marks and 0.30 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in this section.
  7. Candidates will have to clear the overall cutoff and sectional cutoff separately in both prelims and main exams.

While solving the English section in the IBPS Clerk exam, candidates must make sure that they start with solving the fill-in-the-blanks and cloze test questions first.
