Energy Exemplar Interview Experience for Developer (Internship + FTE) Off-Campus

It was an on-campus hiring.

Online Coding Round:

• Platform: DoSelect

20 MCQs and 3 coding questions.

Technical Round 1:

• Duration: 40-45 minutes with two interviewers.
• Topics: DSA preferences, LeetCode #238, and finding the nth node from the end in a linked list (GFG).

Discussion of project details, ER diagrams, SQL queries, GET and POST differences, normalization, ACID properties, network topologies, and the OSI model.

Ended with questions for the interviewers.

Technical Round 2:

• Another 40-45 minute round with two interviewers.
• In-depth project discussion, including user behavior.
• Coding for project functions and medium-level queries.

DSA questions: reversing an array (GFG) and checking for anagrams.

A puzzle and selecting the appropriate data structure for system optimization.

Ended with questions for the interviewers.

Techno-Managerial Round:

• 1-hour round with a friendly interviewer.
• Discussion of the candidate’s role as a club lead.
• Selection of a data structure and problem to showcase problem-solving skills (chose singly linked list with loop detection).

Problem-solving scenario: rotating an array by k positions.

Ended with the questions that I asked to them.

Managerial Round:

• 30-minute interview with two straightforward DSA questions.

Inquiry about the my preference.

Explanation of the company’s operations and services.

HR Round:

• A 15-minute interview with an HR representative.
• Questions about extracurricular activities, family, and pets.
• Discussion of company perks and features.

Tips:

• Confidence is key; explain concepts with practical applications.
• Prepare to answer questions about your project in detail.
• Show courtesy by greeting the interviewer and seeking permission to enter and sit.
