DXC Technologies Interview Experience for Associate Professional

I recently had the opportunity to interview at DXC Technologies, a leading global IT services company. The interview process consisted of three rounds, where I had the chance to showcase my technical knowledge, project experience, and personality. Here’s a detailed account of my interview experience:
Round 1: Online Assessment
The first round of the interview process was an online assessment. While this round was more focused on evaluating my technical knowledge through multiple-choice questions and coding exercises, communication rounds, English tests, and reasoning, it served as a gateway to the subsequent rounds.
Round 2: Technical Interview
The second round was a technical interview, where I had the chance to discuss my project experiences and answer various technical questions. I presented two of my projects, the “Weather App” and a “Password Security Analyzer,” and the interviewer delved into the details:
- Weather App:
I was asked to explain the APIs I used to gather weather data for different cities.
I demonstrated running the Weather App for different cities as requested.
- Password Security Analyzer:
The interviewer requested a detailed explanation of the code for the Password Security Analyzer project.
- APIs and Data Retrieval:
I was questioned about how the APIs in my projects retrieved data, and I admitted that I needed to provide a more comprehensive answer here.
- Python Topics:
The interview covered Python topics such as the Global Interpreter Lock (GIL), Exception Handling, and Garbage Collection.
- Technical Questions like:
Garbage collector?
Exception Handling
Super keyword
The technical interview also included some HR questions to gauge my personality and future aspirations:
- “Where do you see yourself in the next 5 or 10 years?”
- “Can you share an instance when you demonstrated leadership skills?”
- “What are your hobbies?”
- “What do you consider your strengths and weaknesses?”
Round 3: Further Technical Discussion
I progressed to the third interview round, which was a more in-depth technical discussion. Here are some of the topics covered:
- Computer Networks:
I was asked about network topologies.
The interviewer inquired about the textbook I planned to refer to for Computer Networks.
- Hobbies:
Since I mentioned reading books as one of my hobbies, I was asked about Hindi books I’ve read. I cited the “Bhagavad Gita,” which led to further questions about the text.
- Programming:
Questions covered Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including the functionalities of each and the distinctions between HTML and JavaScript.
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP):
I was asked to explain the fundamentals of Object-Oriented Programming.
- Personal Preferences :
The interview concluded with questions about my preferred city and timing.
