It was launched by Google in 2012. It is used by almost each and every person which is somehow related to internet. Everyone uses this to store some professional and personal data. 

Features of Google Drive:

  • Backup and Sync: Google Drive offers a Backup and Sync feature, which allows users to automatically backup and sync their files across multiple devices.

2. RapidShare :

 RapidShare was a file hosting service, cloud storage service and online backup service which was provided by RapidShare AG. It had the ability to handle a large number of users at the same time. It was available in various languages like English, French, German and Spanish. It was developed by Christian Schmid. It was initially named ezShare. It was one of the earliest cloud storage services. It was launched in 2002. 

Features of RapidShare:

  • Security: RapidShare offers advanced security features, including SSL encryption and password protection.
  • High-speed downloads: RapidShare offers high-speed downloads for files, making it easier for users to download large files quickly.
  • File sharing: RapidShare allows users to share files with others, including the ability to set permissions and access controls.

It provides more security of data. It provided comparatively less security of data.

Conclusion: While both Google Drive and RapidShare are cloud storage services, they have significant differences in terms of storage capacity, file transfer limits, download and upload speeds, collaboration features, and pricing plans. Ultimately, the choice between the two services will depend on the user’s specific needs and requirements. Google Drive is more suitable for users who require large storage capacity, collaboration features, and fast download and upload speeds. RapidShare, on the other hand, is more suitable for users who need to transfer and share files quickly and securely.
