Deloitte visited NIT Jamshedpur in September 2023 for Analyst profile.
There were a total of 3 rounds:

Batch: 2024
Job Profile: Analyst

Shortlisting Criteria:

  • No active backlogs.

Most of the students were selected for the Online Assessment round.

Round 2: Online Assessment Test

This round consisted of 5 sections:

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Verbal Ability
  • Computer science fundamentals
  • Technical Assessment ( 2 Intermediate level DSA questions )

I qualified this round.

Round 2: Interview ( Technical + HR )

  • Duration : 40 to 45 mins
  • The interviewer introduced himself and then asked about me.
  • Introduce yourself ( I gave my introduction including brief descriptions of my project works )
  • Why Deloitte?
  • What are the technologies you have worked on?
  • Explain your project
  • Questions on JavaScript
  • Questions on HTML & CSS
  • Why did you apply for the role of Analyst? ( Because all my projects were MERN based )
  • Questions on C++: Constructors/destructors, Why is C++ still relevant? Why C++ instead of JAVA & Python? ( Because I mentioned C++ as my language of choice for implementing DS problems )
  • SQL – Questions on DBMS, RDBMS
  • I was asked to write queries in SQL using JOINS and pattern matching
  • Any questions for me?
  • What do you think are your chances of getting selected on a scale of 1-10?

Verdict:

Out of 38 students, 22 were selected. I was one of them.

Tips:

  • Work on your communication skills. That’s the game changer.
  • Read about the company you are interviewing for.
  • If you don’t know the answers to any questions, just stay calm and respond positively that you cannot- solve the problem/recall the answer right now but you will surely work on it.
  • Give as many mock interviews as you can and work on the skills you lack.
