Cogoport Software Interview Experience (On-Campus) 2022

In this article, I will share my interview experience at Cogoport.

Round 1: Online Coding Assessment: It is a set of two online assessments, which were conducted on the Hirepro platform. The first assessment was on the PI Behavioral and Cognitive Assessment. The second assessment consists of 20 technical MCQs and 3 coding questions.

Round 2: Technical Interview: The interview started with an introduction about myself. The interviewer asked me to elaborate on my projects. I explained my web development project on building a banking application. 

  • He started with a series of questions that why you used MongoDB instead of other SQL databases. 
  • I told him that SQL databases like MYSQL are an excellent choice if we have only structured data but in my application, we have images to store which are unstructured.
  •  He also asked me about which frameworks have you used in the front end.
  •  I told him that I used react js framework at the front end. He started with a series of questions on react js. 
  • The questions are about the difference between class components and functional components, what are life cycle methods, what is the virtual DOM etc. 
  • He finished the interview with an interesting puzzle. The puzzle is “if you have a three-liter jug and a five-liter jug then how would you measure 4 liters of water?”.

Round 3: HR Interview: The HR questions include:

  • Why Cogoport?
  •  Explain how you overcome the obstacles faced while working on projects previously.
  •  What are your strengths and weakness?
  •  Explain any technology you want to build to overcome problems in real life.
