Bajaj Interview Experience For Management of Information Systems (On-Campus)

I applied for the position of Management of Information Systems (MIS) Intern at Bajaj. I was particularly interested in this position at Bajaj because of the company’s reputation for innovation and its focus on creating impactful products. Bajaj is a renowned name in the industry, known for its commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. As an MIS Intern, I saw an opportunity not just to work on cutting-edge technologies but also to contribute to a brand that has a significant presence both nationally and globally.

Preparation:

• Research about Bajaj and the Role: Before the interview, I delved into Bajaj’s history, its core values, and recent achievements. This included studying their products and services, understanding their market position, and reading up on any recent news or developments. I also went through the job description in detail to align my skills and experiences with what Bajaj was looking for in the MIS Intern role.
• The practice of Common Interview Questions: To prepare for the interview, I practised a wide range of technical and behavioural questions commonly asked in software engineering interviews. I also went through my projects, as I came to know they were more interested in the development side questions.

The Hiring Process

It was an on-campus hiring process, which had 3 rounds. I have explained all of them in detail below:-

Online Assessment Round:

7 cgpa was the eligibility criteria for the students to sit in the online assessment round. We were given 2 2-hour slots for the login purpose of the test. The test was of 90 minutes with some easy and some difficult questions from the core subjects of the branch. But overall the difficulty of the test was easy to moderate.

The results of the test were displayed on the screen as soon as you finish the test. If you pass the cut-off test then you get some set of behavioural questions which are very easy and are not counted as assessments. Even if you clear the cut-off criteria, they will select only some students from the college based on the rank they achieved in the online assessment.

Technical Round:

The Technical Round was 20 to 25 minutes, the interviewer was not interested in the intro also due to time constraints. He directly moved to the project-related questions that I made. He asked the basic questions on JavaScript and ReactJS, and the difference between NextJS and AngularJS. So, the tech round was quite moderate.

HR Round:

HR Round being the easiest one lasted only for 5 minutes. HR round was on the same day as the tech round.HR asked questions about the company and their recent tie-up with Chetak. And my strengths of technical and weakness in non-technical background.

Highlights of the Experience

• Positive Interactions with Interviewers: Both the interviewers seemed very pleased with my responses and confidence.
• Challenging Questions: Fortunately, there were no particularly challenging questions during the interview process.

Challenges Faced

• Nervousness: I was a bit nervous before the interview, but as soon as the interview started, I gained confidence, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience.

What Went Well

• Preparedness: I was well-prepared regarding my projects and was very thorough with each of them. This preparation significantly helped me during the interview.

• Confidence-Boosting Responses: The responses from the interviewers further boosted my confidence.

Conclusion:

Reflecting on my interview experience at Bajaj, it was a valuable opportunity to showcase my skills and learn more about the company’s culture and expectations. The three rounds of the interview process, starting from the online assessment to the final HR round, provided a comprehensive view of what Bajaj values in its potential interns.
