Scala Iterator sum() method with example

The sum() method belongs to the concrete value members of the class AbstractIterator. It is defined in the classes TraversableOnce and GenTraversableOnce. It adds the elements of the stated collection.

Return Type:
It returns the sum of all the elements in the stated iterator.
Example:
object GfG
{
def main(args : Array[String])
{
val iter = Iterator( 2 , 4 , 5 , 6 )
val iter 1 = iter.sum
println(iter 1 )
}
}

Here, the sum of all the elements is printed.
Example:

val iter = Iterator( 1.5 , 2.3 , 3.4 )
val iter 1 = iter.sum
println(iter 1 )
}
