TNEA 2024- Application Form, Rank List & Counselling Dates

TNEA 2024 or Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission process is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu. The application form for TNEA 2024 will be released in the month of May 2024. Tamil Nadu Engineering admission process will include online registration, filling application form, assigning of TNEA random number, release of rank list and counselling. Based on the marks obtained by students in PCM which will be reduced to 200 (Maths – 100, Physics – 50 and Chemistry – 50), admission to Tamilnadu engineering colleges. TNEA 2024 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria includes the terms and conditions based on which students can check whether they are eligible for the same or not. Below is the list of eligibility terms.

• Wards of Central Government Employees or Public Sector or Government recognized institutions whose parents or guardians have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past 5 years, irrespective of their domicile, are eligible to apply.
• Candidates must have qualified 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.
• They should have a Tamil Nadu domicile to apply for TNEA 2024 counselling.

Qualifying Exams:

• Candidates must have qualified HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a mentioned minimum average percentage in PCM (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry).
• Candidates who have cleared any one of the HSC (Vocational Subject) as mentioned below with one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a minimum average percentage in aggregate.

What is TNEA 2024?

TNEA 2024 counselling is conducted to select the candidates to fill BTech/BE seats in Government and Government-aided engineering colleges, Anna University & Annamalai University’s Engineering Departments and constituent BTech colleges and for the seats surrendered by Self-Financing Engineering Colleges in TamilNadu. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling is held annually for 10+2 science passed/appearing candidates.

TNEA 2024 Application Form

DTE Tamil Nadu will release the application form of TNEA 2024 in online mode at tneaonline.org. Candidates can also visit TNEA Facilitation Centers (TFC) to get the hard copy of the TNEA application form. The complete list of TFC centres will soon be published on the official website. Follow the below given steps to fill TNEA registration form-

• Step 2- Online Registration- Create username and password by successfully registering to the portal by entering basic details.
• Step 3- Fill the Application Form- Login to the portal and fill the TNEA application form.
• Step 4- Upload documents and pay the fee
• Step 5- Re-check the application form for factual information
• Step 6- Submit the form and take print out of the submitted application form.

TNEA 2024 Random Numbers

DTE Tamilnadu assigns a TNEA random number to all registered candidates in order to avoid tie-breaking. The random number of TNEA is a 10 digits number which will be assigned randomly through a digital process. Candidates need to login through their registered emailID and password to check their unique random number. Registered candidates will also receive a SMS from the authorities after the release of TNEA 2024 random number.

TNEA Rank List 2024

Based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam, TNEA 2024 rank list is created. The authorities will release the overall rank and community rank on the official website in the moth of June. Candidates can contact the authorities in case of any grievances on the given address.

TNEA 2024 Counselling Process

DoTE will release the complete schedule of TNEA counselling 2024 online. Based on the rank, the applicants will be grouped to call for counselling process. Candidates should keep all the documents ready before the counselling date. TNEA counselling includes choice filling and seat allotment. TNEA 2024 Cutoff

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) will release the category-wise cutoff of TNEA 2024. TNEA cut-off marks are released in the form of opening and closing rank after the announcement of seat allotment result. The cut off marks are released after each round of counselling. TNEA cut off depends on the marks secured by candidates in the qualifying exam, last year’s cut off and more.

The Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu will start the B. Tech and B. Arch application process for TNEA 2024 in May 5, tentatively. The last date to apply can be expected in the first week of June and the last date to complete document upload must be few days after that.
