MHT CET Counselling 2024: Dates, Seat Allotment, Eligibility

Maharashtra State CET Cell will start the counselling of MHT CET 2024 in the month of June 2024. The MHT CET 2024 counselling dates and schedule will be released on the official website- cetcell.mahacet.org.

The counselling process will include online registration, choice filling, and declaration of seat allotment result. Candidates with valid MHT CET scores will be eligible for the counseling process.

MHT CET counselling will be held in online mode only. MHT CET counselling process is conducted to allot a seat to deserving candidates in engineering colleges in Maharashtra based on their rank and scores in the Maharashtra CET exam. MHT CET Counselling 2024 Date

The MHT CET counselling dates will be officially declared on the official website after the declaration of MHT CET results. MHT CET Counselling 2024 Eligibility

Candidates should satisfy the below mentioned eligibility criteria before applying for MHT CET counselling

• Only Indian nationals are eligible.
• Candidates should have passed HSC or its equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Biotechnology or Chemistry or Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Agriculture/ Informatics Practices/ Business Studies/ Engineering Graphics.
• The minimum marks in the qualifying exams is 45 % in aggregate (40% marks for candidates belonging to Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability of Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and
• Candidates should have obtained valid MHT-CET 2024 scores.

OR

Candidates obtaining a Diploma in Engineering and Technology with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability of Maharashtra State only).

MHT CET 2024 Counselling Process

Candidates need to visit the official website of MHT CET CAP portal to start the counselling registration. Now, follow the below given steps to register successfully for MHT CET counselling process

Step 1 – Online Registration – The link for MHT CET 2024 CAP registration will be available at mahacet.org. Enter the given details in the application form correctly and create a password to create login details. Make sure the phone number and email ID is correct and working so that you will get all the notification timely.

Step 2 – Fill Qualification Details – After successful registration, candidates need to login to their portal for submitting the 10th and 12th marks.

Step 3 – Upload Asked Documents – After filling all the required details, upload the document in the specified dimensions. The portal will not accept the attachment if the size and format is not correct.

Specifications for Scanned Images

• Photograph- The size of the file should be between 4 KB to 100 KB and the dimensions should be 3.5cm x 4.5cm.
• Signature- The size of the file should be between 1 to 30 KB and the dimensions should be 3.5cm x 1.5cm.

Step 4 – Counselling Fee Payment – After filling the uploading the documents, candidates need to pay the counselling fee in the provided fee payment mode. Candidates can only pay the fee online.

MHT CET 2024 Counselling Fee

• For General Category, Outside Maharashtra State Applicant and Children of Indian workers in Gulf Countries- Rs 800/-
• Reserved Category and Persons with Disability applicants from Maharashtra- Rs 600/-
• For Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Foreign National- Rs. 5000/-

Step 5 – Save Counselling Registration Form – Once the payment is complete, a confirmation page will appear on the screen. Candidates are suggested to download a copy of the finally submitted form and keep it safe till the completion of the admission process.

• Print copy of counselling registration form.
• MHT CET score card and admit card
• Class 10th & 12th marksheet and passing certificate
• JEE Main scorecard, if required
• Fitness Certificate
• School Leaving Certificate
• Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

Step 7 – MHT CET 2024 Choice filling – In the next step, candidates have to do the choice filling by choosing the names of colleges and courses in the order of their preference. The choice filling will be open for every round.

Step 8 – Release of Merit List – Finally, the authorities published the provisional and final merit list of MHT CET 2024. The merit list consists of the names of shortlisted candidates. MHT CET 2024 seat allotment will be based on the merit list released and choices filled by the candidates.

MHT CET Seat Allotment 2024

The last step of MHT CET counselling is seat allotment. Candidates who will submit the counselling form on time with their choices will be listed under MHT CET seat allotment result with the final college and branch. Candidates can either skip the seat and fill the choices again if not satisfied. While others should accept the college by paying the admission fee to the college. There will be 3 rounds of counselling. The allotment letter and details of reporting center will be revealed along with the MHT CET seat allotment result.
