Sirius CDW conducted the on-campus drive in our college. It started with the pre-placement talk in which they told us about their organization, the technology Sirius CDW works on, their hiring process, and their exam pattern.
It was one of the best pre-placement talks I have ever heard of now.

There were a total of 4 rounds of interview

Round 1-(ONLINE TEST)

No of Questions: 60

Time: 60 min

Topic: Quantitative, Reasoning, Pseudo Code, DBMS, java, oops, data structure, operating system, javascript .

difficulty: Easy/medium

Exam Type: 60 MCQs (10% aptitude,90% technical MCQ)

Negative marking: Yes (0.25 negative mark)

Type: Elimination

Note: This is an elimination round. If you fail to qualify you will no longer be able to participate for the rest.
A negative mark of 0.25 for each wrong answer and 1 mark for each correct answer

700 people appeared for the 1st round,

Out of which 50 people make it into the next round, I was one among the 50.

Round 2-(PROGRAMMING TEST)

The 2nd round is completely programming, the candidates are allowed to choose any programming language.

There were a total of 3 programming questions.

For the 1st problem I have written 3 approaches, I have also mentioned when to use which approach, for example when size of array is sort use 1st approach, if the input size is more than 10^4 use the third approach

My pythonic brain wrote one approach which is just one line of solution.

Note: If you like to be more proficient with your programming language practice at https://code.golf/

2nd question was also a good piece of cake

3rd question was subtraction elements in 2 doubly linked list

Round 2 ends well, somewhat 16 was able to make it out and I was one among the 16.

Then comes the 3rd round…..

Round 3- (TECHNICAL HR 1 on 1)

It is an in-person round, the one-one interview starts with

  1. Tell me about yourself
  2. Some Questions from React JS (as I used React JS in one of my projects)
  3. Questions from my projects
  4. The interviewer gave me a problem to solve, once again I thought of 3 approaches and explained all .

Round 3 went till 8.30 pm on a single day all three rounds were ended.

Round 4-(TECH HR+ HR)

The next day round 4 started,I was one among the 6 who were shortlisted for round 4

Went from 700 to 6

It was a panel interview with 5 people, the interview was very focused on both technical and managerial skills of the candidate, and a minimum of 1 hr and 30 min was spent with each candidate, here are some of the questions asked to me

  1. Tell me about yourself
  2. Question from my projects (They gave me kudos: great presentation and self intro)
  3. Find the element that appears once in an array where every other element appears twice
  4. How many handshake would happened among 66 people in a party, this can be solved with arthimetic progression. (don’t misunderstand with this question)
  5. Explain React JS lifecycle
  6. Explain states in react
  7. What happens if 1000 or 5000 Components depend on a single state
  8. How to optimize that re rendering
  9. Explain oops concepts with The Baahubali movie (this question was to test the understanding of oops concept with the understanding to map to real world object)
  10. What is composite key
  11. Explain indexing and its properties
  12. They gave me 3 tables and asked me to get a set of records
  13. How do you see urself after 5 years
  14. You like to building products but we are a consultant company
  15. What is your aspirations toward Sirius cdw
  16. What will you do if you don’t learn new things everyday in our organization

  18. What if you are put in a project which uses old technology
  19. What is your idea about higher studies
  20. Tell me 3 reasons why I should reject you

The panel was really very friendly, Sirius CDW is the best place to work, I really wished to work there because of its fast growth + work culture + mentoring + challenging environment.

Tip for 4th round:

  • Stay calm
