With the help of sympy.is_imaginary method, we can check whether element is imaginary or not this method will return the boolean value i.e True or False.

Syntax : sympy.is_imaginary
Return : Return True if imaginary else False.

Example #1 :
In this example we can see that by using sympy.is_imaginary method, we are able to check the imaginary value and it will return a boolean value.




# import sympy
from sympy import *
  
# Use sympy.is_imaginary method
gfg = simplify(2 * I).is_imaginary
    
print(gfg)

Output :

True

Example #2 :




# import sympy
from sympy import *
  
# Use sympy.is_imaginary method
gfg = simplify(5).is_imaginary
    
print(gfg)

Output :

False
