I was interviewed over a phone call for a quick check of my skillset, and experience in .NET Technologies.

Total number of rounds – 4 ( 2 technical), 1 (behavioral) and 1 HR

Technical Interviews :

  • The first experience-based technical interview was primarily focused on project and experience-based questions.eg.,
  1. How did you enable logging?
  2. What was your CI/CD approach?
  3. How did you tackle any bottleneck issues in the project?

Few questions on OOP concepts, Design pattern – Adapter, DB questions – Temp table, temp variable, SQL Query optimization techniques used in the project.

Any prior cloud technology experience, if yes to what extent?

  • The second Technical interview was also on Microsoft Teams and this was again an in-depth assessment of our contribution to the project and prior experience.
eg., Microservices architecture, why is microservices architecture chosen?
Problem-solving question – Calculate the angle between the hour hand and minute hand.

Behavior Round:

It was on Microsoft Teams by a Manager in the US. It was in the evening.

The discussion was more about giving us situations and how we think and make decisions.

I was asked about a complex situation where I had very little time to deliver the customer issue and how would I do it.

The discussion was driven in a way to assess our thinking capabilities, team player, communication, and crisis management.

After all the rounds were cleared, the final round was taken by the Director or VP who assessed me on my willingness to accept challenges, adjust to startup like culture, lead in situations like ambiguity, and guide the team members for any technical and project inputs.

HR Round:

The interview process spanned over 2 weeks. HR called to share the offer details, joining date and released the offer over email after the phone call.

Overall it was a good learning experience and I accepted the offer.
