Mastek is an enterprise-level digital engineering and cloud transformation company with operations in 40 countries. Mastek conducted recruitment interviews at my University(Mumbai University) Colleges for three roles: Application Development, Database Management System (DBMS), and Human Capital Management. The interview process comprised five rounds for Application Development: Group Discussion (GD) (Online), Aptitude Test, Group Discussion (GD) (Offline), Level 1 (L1) Interview, and Level 2 (L2) Interview.

Round 1: Group Discussion

Roughly 1600 students participated, they divided students into groups, where each group consisted of 11 members. hey selected around 400 students

Round 2: Online Aptitude Test

The aptitude Test was pretty straightforward, with 30 questions (15 from Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning) and other 15 technical questions related to Java. Roughly 300 students were selected.

Round 3: Offline Group Discussion

Since Many students cleared the aptitude test, so they called us to a college and conducted a GD to filter students, Almost 70-80 students cleared that round. My GD topic was (Effects of COVID-19 on Human Beings)

Round 4: L1 Interview

Questions were related to pointers in C++, and they gave me 2 codes and asked me the output of that code, trust me that was easy, Further Discussions were related to my Internships (Which played a very important role) and Projects, If you are applying for DBMS Role they will ask you to write Sql. They Selected 30 students.

Round 5: L2 Interview

Consisted of 2 puzzle-based questions and 1 coding question. A total of 15 students were selected.

My puzzle Question 1: A Truck Driver has three bags of apples and each bag has 10 Apples. On the way to his home, there are 10 tolls. There are rules that, for the Number of bags you have, you need to pay the same count of apples at each toll (No. of bags in truck = No. of apples given). So how many apples are left in the end? (You need to maximize the number of apples left Truck Driver),

Ans is not 0 or 3.

Hint: It is not compulsory to give apples from each of the bags, you can give all the required apples from a single bag also.

My puzzle Question 2: A woman was born in 1945 and her age is 30 Today, How is this possible?
Ans is not a leap Year.

Tips:- You need good Communication skills, to clear GD, You should be good with SQL if you are applying for DBMS, For the Application Development Profile, general/basic technical knowledge should be good, for the final round they will ask puzzles for sure with technical questions.
Pro Tip:- Be humble throughout the interviews and keep a smiley face.
