1. Bhadla Solar Park
With a jaw-dropping 2245 MW capacity, the Bhadla solar power plant in Rajasthan isn’t only India’s biggest. It’s the world’s biggest solar farm. Who’s behind its construction and upkeeping? Multiple parties, including Development Company Limited (an offshoot of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited), Saurya Urja Company (child of the union between the Rajasthan government and IL&FS Energy Development Company), and Adani Renewable Energy Park Rajasthan.
2. Pavagada Solar Park
The Shakti Sthala solar park is about 180 km from Bengaluru in the Pavagada region of the Tumkur district. It’s big – 13,000 acres. The land comes from 2,300 farmers who leased it for 25 years. The park can produce 2,000 megawatts of power. That’s a lot! The Karnataka Solar Power Development Corp. Ltd. (KSPDCL) put it together. KSPDCL is a partnership between two groups – the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd. (KREDL).

3. Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park:
Situated in the Kurnool region of Andhra Pradesh, Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park occupies 5,932.32 acres and was one of the largest solar parks in the world at the time. This facility was developed in less than two years by Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Corporation with funds of INR 7,143 crore, in partnership with Solar Energy Corporation, Andhra Pradesh Generation Corporation, and New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation.
4. NP Kunta Ultra Mega Solar Park:
This solar plant, also known as the Ananthapuram Ultra Mega Solar Park, is situated on 7,924.76 acres in Nambulapulakunta Mandal, which is in the Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Corporation Private Limited (APSPCL) owns the park, which was put into operation in May 2016.
Anathapuram 1 and Anathapuram 2, which are divided into two segments, are intended to generate 1500 MW of power each, and 500 MW of power each.
