Hello All,

Presently a student of the IT department at Jadavpur University 2nd year student I would like to share my experience with the admission procedure.

After you fill out the form of WBJEE and proper preparation you will get your admit card by the end of December or in January, in my case I got a government college as the location for my exam, which was nearly 2hr distance journey from my home via train, the condition of the college for the exam was not so portable, the fans were sounding during the exam which got me a few disturbances during solving such messy questions of calculus, algebra, gravitation, organics, the periodic table, equilibrium and a lot more, security was a very tight feature in this exam we were even checked for cheats inside our shoes and are not allowed to were bent, or any metal type object during the exams, and also not any electronics devices are allowed during the exam too.

After Paper One, we were given a break for 1 hour as this exam consisted of 2 papers, of which maths was done, which was my stronger and I was pity sure and happy to get good points after the paper, so now we had a light breakfast after which we went for the paper 2, of physics and chemistry, the part 2 of the second paper was to a tougher side nearly touching JEE ADVANCE concepts, but I tried my best and handled it, and finally its got over.

After about 1 month exam results were declared and I got an AIR of nearly 550 which was a cool score, i was happy and went for the next counseling session of the wbjee and accordingly filled in my choices.

The procedure of which are as follows:

After the WBJEE results are declared, rank cards are published on the official WBJEE website.

Candidates can log in using their credentials to access and download their rank cards.

  • Choice Filling and Locking:
  • Registered candidates need to fill in their preferred choices of colleges and courses online.
  • Choices can be modified multiple times within the specified period.
  • After finalizing choices, candidates must lock them before the deadline.

  • This letter contains details about the allotted college, course, and payment instructions.
  • Candidates must pay the initial admission fee online within the stipulated time to confirm their seat.

  • Original documents, along with photocopies, are required for verification.
  • After successful verification, candidates receive a verification report.

  • Upgradation options might be provided to candidates who want to switch to a higher preference choice.
  • Physical Reporting to Allotted Institute:
  • Candidates who have confirmed their seats must physically report to the allotted institute within the specified period.
  • They need to carry the necessary documents, admission fee receipts, and allotment letters.

Admission and Document Submission:

  • At the institute, candidates need to complete the admission process, submit the required documents, and pay the balance admission fee.

Further Rounds (If Applicable):

  • If seats remain vacant after the initial rounds, subsequent rounds of counseling might be conducted.

Closure of Counseling:

  • The counseling process closes once all seats are filled, or the specified deadline is reached.

The first step of the admission process was the submission of the online application form. This form required comprehensive details about my educational background, personal information, and choice of program. The university’s user-friendly online portal made it relatively straightforward to complete this initial step. It was crucial to double-check all the information and ensure that all necessary documents were uploaded correctly to avoid any complications later on.

The name of the competitive or you can say the entrance exam for this college is very known to an ass is WBJEE very similar to the JEE preparation.

Its syllabus is almost the same as that of the JEE mains and a slight topics from JEE ADVANCE, the pattern of the paper is as,
