Indian Statistical Institute (ISI),Kolkata Work Experience For Internship

As summer stepped in, I embarked on a journey by moving to Kolkata to redefine my understanding of statistics and its various real-time applications. Selected under the prestigious IASc Internship Program, I was deeply influenced and found myself fully immersed in the vibrant academic atmosphere plus the culture of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata.

On day one, the day marked with a blend of excitement and nervousness, I stepped onto the campus of ISI. The corridors of the hallowed halls echoed with the footsteps of scholars, each exuding an aura of intellectual curiosity. Guided by my mentor, I delved into the intricacies of my research project related to Deep Learning.

The days that followed were a whirlwind of continuous learning and discovery. Mornings were spent poring over seminal papers and journals related to my research, understanding the theoretical suspense, while afternoons were dedicated to coding on multiple sets of data.

Amidst rigorous academic pursuits, ISI Kolkata also offered glimpses of its cultural richness as those were the times of marking the anniversary of PC Mahalanobis. Evenings were often spent strolling through the picturesque campus, engaging in conversations with fellow professors from diverse backgrounds, going for a team trip and savouring the delectable flavours of Bengali cuisine.

As my internship drew to a close, I felt a sense of profound gratitude for the enriching experience the college had provided me. I carried with me not only a certificate of completion but also a treasure trove of memories and insights that would shape my academic and professional journey in the years to come.
