The Human Body is made up of various cells, tissues, organs, and other biological systems, which are involved in performing a variety of specialized functions necessary to maintain a healthy life. An organ is an organization of many different types of tissues arranged in such a way that they can perform a particular function together. The scientific study of the structures of the body and its functions is called human anatomy and physiology.

The basic processes of the human body in life include Organization, Metabolism, Reaction, Movement, and Reproduction.

Interesting Facts About The Human Body

The human body is made up of multicellular because they are composed of many cells. Every living organism is made up of cells. Some of them are single-celled organisms, including bacteria.

Fact 3- Interesting Fact On Nervous System

  • There are more nerve cells in the human brain than there are stars in the sky.
  • Our brain alone contains 100 billion neurons and the human spinal cord has about 13 500,00 neurons.
  • The brain of a newborn baby grows to three times its size during the period of its first year.
  • The left side (one side) of the human brain is responsible for controlling the (another side) right side of the body and the right side of the brain is responsible for controlling the left side of the body.
  • The male brain has 6.5 times more grey matter than the female brain, but a female brain has 10 times more white matter than the male brain.
  • Potassium and sodium ions are necessary for the normal functioning of the brain.
  • There are 43 different pairs of nerves that connect the central nervous system (CNS) to the rest of the body. Twelve nerve pairs are connected to the brain, while the remaining thirty-one is connected to the spinal cord.

Fact 4- Interesting Fact On Heart

  • The average size and length, width, and thickness of the heart are 12 cm,  8.5 cm, and 6 cm respectively.

Fact 5- Interesting Fact On  Circulation System

  • The circulating blood in our body is made up of about 55% plasma, 40% red blood cells, and 4% platelets. and 1% white blood cells.
  • Human blood contains atoms of metals including iron, chromium, manganese, zinc, lead, copper and small amounts of gold.
  • Human blood cells have separate life cycles. On average, red blood cells (RBCs) circulate in the body for about 4 months, platelets for about 9 days, and white blood cells (WBCs) for a few hours to several days.
  • A human circulatory system has more than a million miles of blood vessels.
